How Flippin’ Jerry’s Was Started
It all started with a goofy guy named Jerry. He was known throughout the town not just for his infectious laughter and crude jokes but also for his endless pursuit of creating the perfect burger. With a heart full of determination and a stomach rumbling with anticipation, he spent years perfecting his craft, but something was still missing.
During Jerry’s quest, he would take along his two grandsons and show them everything he learned along the way. And that’s where we come in. With Jerry’s passing, we wanted nothing more than to carry on this legacy and prove that we made a perfect burger in our grandfather’s eyes to share with the world.
Little did Jerry know, he had created the perfect duo: an innovative Local Chef and a young, motivated entrepreneur.
Chef Andrew Huska
Chef Andrew Huska’s culinary journey began humbly in Jerry’s Kitchen, where he first discovered the magic of transforming simple ingredients into delightful meals. Growing up in Cleveland, Andrew started from the ground up, working his way up through the ranks of MICHAEL SYMON’S Restaurants. It was there he learned the importance of hard work, dedication, and creativity.
Driven by an insatiable curiosity and a desire to refine his craft, Andrew left his hometown to try to make a name for himself in Cincinnati. He has opened and run some of the most successful restaurants and learned from many great midwestern chefs. His unique approach to blending traditional flavors with modern techniques quickly caught the attention of the area, making a name for himself not only in Ohio but nationally.
Visionary Alex Huska
Then there is Alex Huska. The business-savvy younger brother with a vision—determined to turn Flippin Jerry’s into a reality, driven by ambition and purpose. With all of Alex’s great successes came struggles. Modern society in the U.S. has used some pretty harsh ingredients in today’s foods, creating health troubles for not just him but for many across the country.
Since his diagnosis of Crohn’s Disease and MS a few years prior, he’s been on a mission to create food that is safe, sustainable, and most importantly enjoyable. Many can relate to the struggles of finding good food made from quality ingredients. Now the duo plans on bringing this vision to life for our grandfather and others like us, who seek the perfect burger.
